Marine Polyurethane Enamel

In Response To: Is the water is warm and shallow where you paddle? (Dave Gentry)
I just discovered half of a gallon of Marine Polyurethane Enamel in the basement. Stuff is bright red, not exactly what I was hoping for. Maybe after epoxying the forms that are not directly inside the cockpit, I'll give them a layer of that stuff; it won't see any other use.
I found another can of some sort of clear enamel and it sounded like just what I'm looking for as an outer coat, "hard, water and oil resistant, clear finish", but then it says "for outdoor use, use our spar varnish." I'll have to look that up now...
