Since you already have a hard-chine design at hand, it should be pretty straight forward to convert it to a Yost-style SOF. Tom's instructions will get you on your way pretty quickly, you just need to decide on cross section locations and pull off your own table of offsets for those cross sections. You'll have to do a bit of work on the deck, though - IIRC it was of strip construction? Not a big deal, really.

Or, you could pick one of Tom's designs and have no design work to do. :)

: He is wanting to go paddling really bad. He is up in age but healthy and I

: fascinated with SOF for a while. The light weight and the speed of

: just convert it (or most any S&G design) to a Yost Style SOF?

: Before I jump into this I thought I would ask as I am sure other have done
: it. It looks fairly straight forward to me. But I have to wonder if I am
: missing something.
