: R2K8 – The 10th Annual West Coast Wooden Kayak Rendezvous is just around the
: corner – August 1-3.
: It will again be held at Fort Worden State Park in Port Townsend, WA.
: This is a very low key and family friendly event. For those of you who don’t
: know, Port Townsend is pretty much the hub of wooden boat activity on the
: west coast and is a very fun place to visit (and there are lots of
: activities available in town for those spouses that aren’t particularly
: interested in our obsession).
: There’ll be several building demos going on throughout the weekend and we
: welcome (encourage) volunteers who’d like to demonstrate anything related
: to kayak building. If there is any building technique you'd like to see
: demonstrated or would like to demonstrate yourself – please let me know
: and feel free to jump right in.
: With the exception of the crab, shrimp, and corn feed Saturday evening,
: there’s no charge for the event.
