I've let the epoxy cure for a month, and am working on my final sanding* in prep for varnish. What's the best way to completely clean the surface before applying the first varnish coat? I have mineral spirits, but some resources suggest against that while others say it's fine. I'll be using Z-Spar Flagship varnish.
(*Thought I was done sanding, but after a good rinse with the hose, I still have a lot of little bright spots. I'm assuming I'll have to sand ALL of that out to get good adherence by the varnish? I am down to where I'm at the top of the glass weave in two spots - is that worth one final coat of epoxy, or will it not be all that visible on the hull?)
TIA... --Tracey
