Good morning to you. On my last 2 decks I had good results using masking tape.I also made use of lengths of shock cord cut into 2 foot and using spring clamps to hold in place. I could clamp one end then wrap the cord around the strip and then back to the starting point. This works best when striping the hull becouse it is open up under. The masking tape works well try using 1.5 inch or bigger tape I would leave it on long enough for the glue to hold. After the glue tacks good pull it off and wipe the glue that was under the tape up it will still be soft if the time was about 15 min. The photo shows the tape still on on the right side the tape on the left has been pulled off and cleaned.
