...I used up all my available holidays to complete the most recent leg of my big river trip. I remember well the 2006 event. I enjoyed meeting so many folks whom I knew only via Kayak Forum, checking out the demos, paddling idly along the south shore and finding lots of sea life to photograph, and enjoyed being thrashed by those little 2-foot waves along the north shore. I still can't roll but hey, I shore know how to bail. Next year it's India for a month, then after that, on to complete the final leg of my river trip to Hudson Bay. I'll try to get R2K9 in my sights.
