In Response To: Strip: when to you splice strips? (MacMcCaskie)
: A question for you all. When do you splice your strips?
: After I spliced some milled strips to length I realized I will need to scrape
: the glob of glue from the bead and cove before I start assembling them on
: the forms.
: When do you do it, before milling, after milling or on the forms? And if you
: do it on the forms, do you clamp the splice or just staple?
: Thanks all,

I suspect there are ways of making any method work. I spliced some boards before sawing them into strips. I also spliced strips in some cases. I used bevel edges, so cleaning coves was not something I had to do.
