Do you have a hand held circular saw (what I normally call a skil saw)? If so, with a good blade you can probably put that to good use for cutting strips. Several folks on here have used that method (not me) and have had good success. Do some searching on the forum and you should be able to turn up some detailed instructions. Buying a good blade, no matter what type of saw you use, is an important factor.
