: do it on the forms, do you clamp the splice or just staple?

I don't splice strips, just butt join them. The stength of a stripper isn't in the wood, it's in the glass. Far easier to handle partial length strips than full length ones. Full length ones are like trying to build a boat with wet spagetti .
