My understanding on filters is the rating for particle size as stated. I use a P100 filter sometimes more commonly refered to as a Hepa filter. I purchase them from a safety wholesaler and they tell me that P100 means 100% particles are filtered. I then have seperate filters for organic vapours. I don't like the all in one filters since the organics will have a shorter life if always on. And a good fit on your mask is paramount.
