I've cut strips using an 80 tooth blade, but what you're doing is ripping so less teeth would be better. A thin curf blade is better but that may be tricky to find for a radial arm saw. With a table saw you can adjust the height of the blade, not a radial arm saw trick
Still if you already own it, use it.
