I seem to always use a skirt with my guillemot, so I expect to need one with a SOF. Before I start work on the coaming, I'll see if I can use the same skirt. If not, I'll try making one.
I emailed Tom. One of his suggestions was to add to the gunwale height along the entire length of the kayak. This will also increase the beam a little to keep the angle of the sides the same as the current design.
