I built a Seguin two years ago. I'm very happy with the boat really. Before i built this one i had first a Nort Shore Buccaneer, then a Valley Nordkapp. Both have a reputation as good kayaks, and i find Seguin as good as any of them.
See my webbsite on the link below. It's in Swedish, but follow the navigation button "Kajakbygge", there is pictures from my building project.
Look also under "Bilder" there is pictures from paddling tours. From spring 2006 it is in Seguin.
I found Segin quite easy to build. Perhaps you will get more support if you buy a more modern set of drawings, but i didn't encounter any problems (more than the "minor ones" i guess everybody has to face, regardless of what kind of drawings/kits you choose).
I'm just about to take off for a 10 days holiday, but will tell you more when i'm back.
