Wow there is allot to think about to make a decision. This is a large commitment to make in time and cost without really knowing if it will be the right design until I sit in it.

It looks like I should stay with the Guillemot design for now considering the stability numbers - and my big feet (size 12+)!! The L does seem to be a big boat. I think the best idea is to see if I can sit in one before I start building and make a final decision then, so will persue that for now.

Maybe the Night Heron can be my second boat - but I could be getting ahead of myself here (just a thought)!!

Just another question about temperature... Are there limits or considerations when building in cold weather? I don't mind the temp, but will it have an affect on the materials that I need to worry about? I will be building this in either my garage or an enclosed car port - both unheated.
