: I am building a Redfish "Spring Run" from a kit (my first strip
: boat) and purchased the thigh braces that attach to the inside of the
: coaming wall. The instructions provided did not address the install of
: these optional items but logic seems to point to the following sequence...
: 1. Glass deck & cut out for coaming wall install.
: 2. Install coaming wall / lip and glass to top and bottom of deck.
: 3. Epoxy thigh braces to inside of coaming wall and then glass over braces to
: create unit with coaming.

: I would really appreciate some experienced builders advising the proper build
: sequence for installing before I do what I think logical since I'm a
: newbie..

: Thanks,

Bob,
If I remember correctly this is what I did when I built my Redfish King. After my deck was glassed and the cockpit opening cut. I epoxied the coaming wall to the deck, put a fillet where the wall & deck joined. Then epoxied the coaming lip to the wall, then epoxied the thigh braces to the wall and then I glassed over all of those running the glass down the inside of the wall and up under the deck a bit.
