You will need to paint it anyway and a light color. Styrofoam doesn't like UV, breaks down pretty quickly in direct sunlight and will not live long if painted (or epoxy/graphite coated) a dark color. As I remember (I may be wrong) it starts to degrade at temperatures around 180 degrees. Surface temperatures under a dark color paint can reach nearly double that.
