Most times guys are trying to make the lightest boat they are
able to, & use the lighest wood they can. & Cedar & like wood
will bend & twist to the shapes of a kayak, & thats not eazy.
Some woods will not bend well & you'll never make the compound
bends that will make your kayak shape.
However...
I have 20 extra pounds... ( 9.07 kilos.) of fat that I could
lose that would make up for all my effort on making the kayak
a pound, ( .45 kilo's.) or two lighter...
