I've made harder rub strips and end points from thickened epoxy. It's nice to have something durable in those places. Atleast I seem to poke the kayak in various places and thickened epoxy is good because it's still ok even if you scrape the surface. No worries about moisture there. Small dents are just marks of kayak been used in real paddling - that's how it's supposed to be :)
