Yep. Highway 50, about 35 miles east of Placerville. Four miles east of Kyburz, look for a small sign reading "Wright's Road." Turn left, and it's about nine miles of twisty but paved road up to the lake at almost 7,000 feet. Camping spots are hard to get: you need to reserve 6 mos. in advance. Great for a day paddle, though, and it's just a couple more hours to get from Wright's to Tahoe, south shore. The sign used to read Wright's Lake Road, but power boaters would haul up there on spec only to find that no motors of any kind are allowed, so the Forest Service changed the name on the sign. Good move. The place is perfect for all sorts of paddling.
