In my experience I have found that most dry suits that are not designed for paddling don't work well. Seams are often located where they chafe in the arm pits, thickness is often greater making them stiff and uncomfortable. As far as booties you can go with neo socks but when the water is in the 30's and you need to step in the water to get in your boat they fill with water and then you sit with very cold feet for the duration of your paddle. Do yourself a favor buy a gortex (for the warranty) or other breathable cloth drysuit with a relief zipper and booties. After going through several dry tops, dry pants, shorties etc, over the years I should have paid the big bucks up front for gortex. Not to say I didn't wear the stuff out using them, but I would have been more comfortable and farther ahead.
