I agree with all that you mention Paul. I've also got a Kokatat Goretex Meridian suit -- it's an incredible piece of gear and well worth the expense.

I recently got my daughter the women's Goretex Meridian suit for her birthday -- it's completely changed the way she paddles. She's not the slightest bit reluctant to get out of the boat now and her bracing and edging skills have improved greatly in a short time.

And just a mention about the relief zipper -- worth every penny. It's so nice not having to strip down to have a whiz.

My 2 cents -- save up the money and get a good suit and get one with socks, you'll never regret it.
