There are so many variables it's hard to say how long a suit will last. I paddle a lot and wore out a Kokatat in about 6 years. But guess what? Kokatat will fix your suit if it leaks no matter how long you've had it. In my case they asked if it would be OK to just send me a new one. Hah! like I would turn that down. If I had bought a brand with less product support I would have had to replace it from my own wallet. They have a quality product and they stand behind it. Kayak Academy is great and I buy my suits and other gear from them. Note that they give a 10 percent discount, at least on suits, if you belong to certain kayaking organizations.
