Hi everyone,
Well this AM I came to realize that I bit off more than I can chew again (big surprise here ). There's no way to do a first class job finishing this kayak in the time remaining before it gets too cold to work on the thing. Really sucks, just yesterday got the 14 yards of fabric needed to cover the boat.
So starting today I'll be finishing up details, like epoxy on all the plywood edges (there's lots) and finishing the fairing then varnishing the frame. Should be a fairly easy job starting in the spring.
Luckily the boat is now one piece, the connecting frames are all in so it can safely be moved out of the shop (garage). Need to do some serious cleaning now too, garage is a disaster
Once the frame is varnished I'll get it outside and take some more pictures and finally get these posted somewhere.
Nice thing is I won't have to rush next spring and might actually be able to finish some of the other boat projects that got put on the back burner. Have now 5 kayaks and 3 of them need work to really be finished.
