right. with nylon stretch cord and standard ruder pedals that only slide an inch or two i've found i was almost always pushing both feat against the back stops. ie since the rudder was centered not much correction needed.//slight relax of pressure with one foot turns it.
I see your point it would be easy to use pedals with pivots or heel stops of some sort.
