I've built two Njords this year and didn't get to paddle either one! I have received a few reports back from my customers. They find them pretty stable.

After my NH customer's first time out in the "Azure" Njord:
"I will need to wait until I have a spray skirt for a full report on the handling. And also to hit some rough water with the boat. But I can already appreciate the amount of secondary stability. The coaming can be way down in the the water and I still can brace with no alarm about a capsize. Wind is also to be experienced but I continue to be pretty confident I can handle it without the skeg."

From Gonzalo:
"Nereida is just INCREDIBLE.
We have been paddling together an is FAST, ELEGANT...and almost sexy!!
I still donīt have photos on the sea, but believe: everybody turns and stare at her.
I can stand about 5-6 Knots, she surf waves, is stable...the perfect kayak??"

Can't really comment much on the OI. I believe the stock OI tracks stronger and has more volume than the Njord. I actually might be building an OI this winter... Tough choice. They're both beautiful kayaks...

More info on the Njords on my site.
