Material: is 2 layers of 8oz glass enough?

I'm finishing up a modified squirt boat where I cut off the ends and made new ends out of minicel, then glassed over it with 8oz and epoxy. I'm wondering how much glass I need on there, I currently have 2 layers of 8oz top and bottom, do I need more or can I paint it and go surfing!
