: I have recently completed my first kayak, a One Ocean Cape Ann Double. I'll
: post a couple of photos soon. Now I want to build another strip built, but
: a single this time so I can go out anytime. What would be a good yak
: choice for a beginner paddler (6 feet tall and 240 pounds). Being as I'm a
: beginner and a fair weather paddler, I am more interested in stability and
: an easy paddle. What would you all suggest.

I'd have to agree with ET, the North Star is really cool :)

For me it's a bit too big and at some point when I run out of projects (like that's gonna happen ) I want to build a FireStar, close cousin to the NorthStar.
