Hi Bob I did build the Parr for my daughter in the 14 foot version.
This picture was on the first time out so the sponsons came off later.
My little girl loves her kayak and it paddles great.
when she out grows it in time she can have my Guillemot and I get a new one.
I like that idea much better. I love building strip kayaks so I may lean that way.
When you are out in your Spring Run and your son in his Parr how cool is that.
How ever what ever you build he will love it and he is gonna love time with you so good luck with the build.
