Ok, I found my copy of Mike's post. It is from April of 2002. He built 2 boats, a Play and an SK (?). He used mainly walnut and cherry. He set his strip width at 5/32" and used 6 oz glass on the hull and 4 oz on the deck (inside & out). One boat came in at 38 pounds and the other at 39. He mentions that the hard wood caused him to use a belt sander as an 80 grit fairing board was not doing much. It is a fairly long post summarizing his build. I can post the text if you want - although I am a little unsure about posting someone else's work.
