Seeking: molded hatch recess

I'm building a redfish king for a friend and she wants to use valley hatches. I'd like to recess them by molding fiberglass on a foam form. I'm sure I've seen write-ups on this, on this forum but I've searched several times with no luck. Can anyone help?
