: to be repaired is inaccessible. You need to be able to push the backing
: piece through the hole from the outside. You can get a 4"x6"
: rectangle through a 2"x4" hole OK. It's harder to get a 4"
: circle through a 2" circular hole ;-)

: If you have access to the inside then a circle would be fine, and you'd have
: no need of the string to pull it into position etc etc.

Oh, ok, not thought about not having access to the inside. It's one of the reason I have hatches, to allow access to the hull's inside
