I've always wondered about this myself and I'm also building an F1.

Harvey did the survey drawing for the F1. Maybe he followed the DTS convention as he described it in the link and it's at the front of the cockpit rather than the back. I always thought DTS was at the back of the cockpit ... now I'm not so sure.
