Hi Darren

Putting longiditudinal corrigations into your inner glass will add stiffness. A few half-rounded strips laminated to the inside of the hull before glassing and then glassed over will have this effect. No need to double glass. If you round the corners of the strips and fillet with a little care it is not that much harder to lay the glass in. You will get a smooth interior without having to feather tape edges.

Slow firm use of a roller for glassing inside is the way to go. Slow so that the glass doesn't lift behind the roller as it passes, firm so that the epoxy spreads well. Rollers are great, especially for the inside, as they don't move the cloth around much.
