: I finally got a chance to work on my band saw yesterday.. The motor still had

: put off buying a new motor or saw now. I have managed to save 2 other
: motors, my Craftsman 10" 2 HP table saw and my jet dust collector
: system. All of these were completely under water. The good part about the
: table saw and dust collector is that the motors are open framed and the
: water drained when it went down.

I think I'd want to run them without load until they get warm to drive off any remaining water. The bearings can be replaced btw.
