Good idea on running it w/ no load. We have had a couple of cold fronts come through (dropped all the way down to 55 deg F.(13 C ) last night :) and the humidity has really dropped. Good time for washing and drying..

I do have a press for bearings, just don't want to go to that trouble .. yet.. I made a bearing spinner by tapering a short dowel, putting a screw in the opposite end and spinning it with a drill. I spin the inner race and flush the bearing with rust blaster then lithium grease.. (for the bearings that come off the shaft as in the big wheels of my band saw.) For spinning the outer race, I use a cloth and pull back and forth as one might polish shoes.
