I have been lurking/reading/contributing to this site for about 5-6 years......learning everything I know about boatbuilding from this site. I built Nick's Hybrid Night Heron, a SOF, and got started on Joe Greenley's King. Due to some medical stuff I need to move on, and have decided to sell all of my boats, gear, and overall paddling stuff. Will be heading back to a road bike after many years away.

I want to thank Nick for making this extraordinary community of people available for years of fun, inspiration and support. I have been around long enough to see folks come and go. I would HIGHLY recommend those who haven't, to search the Profiles section and Archives.....GREAT stuff there!

After first reading Dyson's Baidarka 20+ years ago, I had always wanted to paddle my own homebuilt kayak. This community helped me to achieve this goal.....and to try out new possibilities.
