For several weeks I have tried to come up with a way to build my GF a new kayak more suitable for rolling and skills. First a kit, then a strip, back to a kit, almost pulled the trigger on a Cirrus LT.

Several realities set in and I know I do not have the time for a strip nor the cash for a S&G kit and have arrived at a Yost Sea Rider. I already have some of the material, all of the tools, and space will be an issue for only a short time. First go I don't want to go through bending ribs so I think the Yost style will work for me.

Who has built a Sea Rider? What are the characteristics of this kayak? - How does it track, turn, roll, speed. Time is only an issue if I have to keep everything stationary from day one due to the possibility of a warehouse change up.

Thanks,

Dan
