I am 6-2 and use a 16 x 33 keyhole cockpit on my S&G kayaks. The link shows the layout method I use to layout a smooth curved opening. I like 5 inches clear between my back and the cockpit.

The trouble with a keyhole on a SOF is the masik starts one inch aft of your kneecaps and the keyhole opening should start several inches forward of your kneecaps. So to correctly install a keyhole cockpit on a SOF you must move the masik forward and install thigh braces (knee hooks)on the coaming. Your backrest should remain in the same location per the original kayak design.
