The only roller that may be used is the thinnest possible type - 1/8 inch, and even then it is hard to avoid any bubbles at all. That's why many people spread epoxy with a hard spatula. As far as foam brushes-you can get them at Home Depot or Lowe's in the paint department - they are plentiful and cheap.
Also, make sure the surface is as clean as possible and the workshop temperature is steady or falling after you apply the epoxy.
Even then there will always be some bubbles, you can hope to either eliminate them through sanding or just live with them and paint your boat a nice white color.
