Really strange. Mine are 3/4" x 9/16" (supplier's 4/4 lumber is actually 9/16") and didn't deflect enough that I can see it, and I'm pretty picky.

Oh well, it is fairly easy to install an intermediate frame, suspect that Tom would supply the dimmensions if he were asked, he's always been very helpful.
