Hi Jeff,
Definitely. The frames of my greenland and baidarka flexed before skinning, the baidarka quite a lot. Once the skin is on, it compresses the frame parts together, kinda locking it together.
They still flex a bit, again baidarka more, the greenland not much.

It can be a bit scary seeing the frame flex as much as they do, skinless.
