True, I think. But, the instructions are fairly comprehensive, and they only talk about beveling the top of the shear clamps to the outside, so the deck can sit down properly. Then, there's the part about fillets for the inside joints of the cockpit, and wrapping fiberglass all the way around the shear clamps when glassing the cockpit. But, nothing is ever said about shaping the inside edge of the shear clamps.
