Thanks Bill and Kudzo,
I get it now- screws as quick way to hold joint for epoxy; pegs & epoxy to keep water out of the screw holes; but epoxy fillets are the real load bearers. Thanks guys- sounds like it should be a fun and straight forward build. Gonna try the Yost Glider- skinny and long...
