: I am getting close to glassing my first Great Auk but I have a few areas,
: staple holes which I missed and some seams. I have done most of my sanding
: and I am looking for a suggestion as to what to use for filler which will
: sand easily and is readily accessible. I have used a mixture of Tite Bond
: and saw dust but it is difficult to sand these spots after the mixture
: hardens. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
I used Elmer's wood filler, cheap and water based (won't effect the epoxy), most home centers and hardware stores have it, comes in tubes. Their red oak color is a pretty good match for red cedar. Dries quick and sands very easily.
