: I am getting close to glassing my first Great Auk but I have a few areas,
: staple holes which I missed and some seams. I have done most of my sanding
: and I am looking for a suggestion as to what to use for filler which will
: sand easily and is readily accessible. I have used a mixture of Tite Bond
: and saw dust but it is difficult to sand these spots after the mixture
: hardens. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
John,
I tried the Tite Bond approach also. It looked good initially, but in some of the seams the hardened mixture shrank! I ended up digging some of them out and filling with epoxy/wood flour. The match isn't perfect, but I don't notice it any more.
