: I am building a SOF using Morris's book. I measured and cut the ribs to

: some ribs were just too long and would push the keel stringer up and/or

Good advice, as per usual, from Mike. I'd suggest also using a couple long battens on the outside of the frames to judge the final shape. These will mimic the stringers which will give the final shape, but they aren't attached just sit on the frames and show you which are unfair and if the shape is what you want.
