For a double or a single usage I don't see a problem with 2 pairs of footbraces being attached to the same lines. Where you will need to put some thought is a way to disengage one of the sets when two control positions are occupied. Or put shock cord or tension spring in the control lines so that if rt and lt are loaded at the same time the force will be absorbed rather than load the cables and rudder.

One more thought. It is nice to have the controls in the front cockpit instead of the rear for obvious reasons. I understand this is standard in S. Africa where they race doubles down rivers. Makes so much sense to me.

Reg

: All,

: I'm putting together a triple for a good friend who wants to be able to use
: it as a triple, double or solo. Has anyone put rudder controls in both the
: center and rear cockpits?

: I'm pretty sure the boat will use a Smart Track rudder system if that makes a
: difference.

: The boat is going to be a triple version of Rob Mack's Twin star. I'm already
: looking forward to the test runs in the spring...

: Thanks,

: Jim
