Buy some minicell foam and make your own padding. My preference is for a foam masik which sits underneath the deck forward of the cockpit until I enter the boat, whereupon I snug the masik back over my lap. It spans the cockpit and wedges underneath the deck on other side. With the foam snug over my lap I have full contact with the boat. The great thing is you can take the foam masik with to you to other boats rather than outfitting each boat separately...
