Thanks John! You can get the original "Free Lassie" forms and scantlings for "free" from the Dreamcatcher boats webs site after purchasing their $50 instructional video (see link below). Access to the videos is immediate after a paypal transaction. There are probably a couple of hours of video with some really good tips which I think more than justify the cost. The 2 free plans are PDF files that you can bring to a staples/officemax or kinkos to have printed full size on a plotter.

I made my modifications from posterboard copies of these original forms blown up by 10% with the station molds spaced at 17.5in. I would say my changes were minor (certainly less than 10%) so I don't think Dermie would be considered and "original" design. Since its not original, I don't think it ethical or legal to share these directly.

The lines for this design (and many others) were developed from Rushton's Wee Lassie, which I would expect you could find in the public domain. This should be relatively easy to then develop into your own design variation.

I would love to know what rules the law has for determining when a design on a vessel so common as a canoe or kayak is considered unique, copyrighted or liscenseable.
