: How high did you end up making the rear deck?
I made it the same as the original and then recessed the coaming so it's the same height as the rear deck. It's still low. Your's is lower, right?

I agree. The hull was very easy to build. The knee bumps that I included in my deck where slightly more difficult.
Good luck with the rolling lesson. If you can do a angel roll, you should be able to nail a hand roll with a little work. I picked up one in a day of rolling practice. It's not bombproof, but it's a hand roll.
